Looking somewhat the worse for wear we see LMS Class 5 4‑6‑0 No. 45001 in the company of other begrimed LMS locomotives at the Carlisle end of the shed yard at 10A Carnforth on 10th December 1967.

LMS Royal Scot Class 4‑6‑0’s
One of the few remaining active LMS Royal Scot Class 4‑6‑0’s based at Crewe (North) No. 46155 The Lancer at rest in the yard at 8K Bank Hall on 16th August 1964 in the company of locally based LMS Class 5 4‑6‑0 No. 45129 a resident of the depot until November 1964 – moving on to 8B Warrington.

Serving at 8C Speke Junction between June 1961 and October 1967 LMS Class 8F 2‑8‑0 No. 48294 is seen in light steam in the yard of its home shed at 10D Lostock Hall on 12th May 1968. To the left of the frame is sister engine No. 48765(10D) and to the right of No. 48294 is the now preserved LMS Class 5 4‑6‑0 No. 45305, also of 10D.

LMS Class 0‑6‑0T’s Nos. 47533
Three of the ‘Jinties’ – LMS Class 0‑6‑0T’s Nos. 47533, 47627 and 47674 noted at 8H Birkenhead on 16th August are in this photograph taken at 8H on a murky and wet Sunday 5th December 1965 – the odd one out being No. 47447. All four were being readied for their duties the following day.
