Welcome to the disposals amendments and queries to the SR editions of WHTS.
Dates of withdrawal have been upgraded from the original WHTS series and have been compiled as accurately as possible, but any information to the contrary will be welcomed as will any assistance with regards to the queries and verification required aspects.
Each and every confirmed disposal has a source of reference but in the event of any discrepancies the author will again welcome concrete information appertaining to the same.
I would like to thank the author of the excellent publication Scrapping the Southern, Jeffery Grayer, for adding the following rider in his postscript:
“Initial reports suggest that there are not too many errors in the scrapping locations of SR locomotives (in WHTS).”
